Born in Zimbabwe, Heather was a child of missionary teachers growing up. Heather, her husband and three children continued in the mission field in Ghana, West Africa for over 20 years. Not only does she enjoy missions, but she enjoys being a grandmother as well. Heather holds a BS in Early Childhood Education from Elizabeth City State University. She has been involved in starting several schools in the mission field and is Co-Founder and Educational Consultant for Beacon House USA, an NGO for at-risk abandoned children in Ghana. Heather "deeply enjoys teaching the early grades, helping them to become problem solvers and understanding the learning styles of the children so they have a solid foundation for a life of learning".
