Dian Lieck was named WGCS's First Teacher of the Year in 2010. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education. Mrs. Lieck went on to graduate from Texas A & I University in 1989 with a Master's Degree in School Administration. She taught history and geography at Bay City High School from 1984-85. She taught 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Social Studies and coached tennis at Seale Jr. High in Robstown, Texas from 1985-90. Mrs. Lieck returned to the teaching profession in 2008 after spending many years investing in raising her twin daughters. During that time, Mrs. Lieck was president of the Charlotte Mothers of Multiples, president of the NC Mothers of Multiples, owner of her own home-based business, and was an Outreach Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator with Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill. Her interests are reading, cooking, tennis, and traveling with her family.
